Marine Photography Coastal Care Workshop

Date: Saturday 13th March
Where: NZ Marine Studies Centre
Price: Free but booking is essential
Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm

Rod Morris is a wildlife photographer and filmmaker, with more than three decades of experience. He is a co-author of the Field Guide to the NZ Seashore and many other NZ natural history books.

The workshop will cover photography down on the seashore, macro-photography indoors, how photography can be used to monitor biodiversity and better understand changes in the marine environment.

If you are interested in learning more about photographing marine life and how we can use it to care for our coast, come and learn some of Rod’s ‘tricks of the trade’. Dress appropriately for a visit to the shore, and bring your cameras and cell phones to photograph animals in tanks and in the intertidal zone, and get expert on-the-spot advice. Light lunch, tea and coffee provided.

- Although this workshop has now been completed, there will be others!  Keep an eye on the Mm2 website and also on the marine.ac.nz website for future dates.
