Citizen Science Projects Tour in Dunedin
|
|
The NZ Landcare Trust is running a 'Citizen Science Projects Tour" on Wednesday 3rd May. If you are an educator, coordinate environmental projects, researcher, work with volunteers, a community group member or just interested in the potential of citizen science, then join the tour! We will be visiting ecological restoration projects over the course of the day, wrapping up with a session on Marine Metre Squared (Mm2). A focus of the tour is not only learning about projects, but discussing ways in which the projects could grow, and how barriers could be overcome. Themes are likely to include data quality and storage; science communication; encouraging and retaining volunteers; working with youth ... we are still finalising destinations for the early part of the day.
